Dr. Dick Ruhe is a speaker, consultant, and author.  With management experience in the private and public sectors, he offers time-proven, common sense ways for people to hone their skills and reach their full potential - all within a high-spirited, enthusiastic learning atmosphere.

Dick is author of "Getting Major Results", a productivity program and field book for industry.  He has served as a regular columnist for Sales and Marketing Training magazine and has been published in Training and Development Journal, Health Care Journal, Proceedings of the Academy of Management, Personal Excellence, the Drucker Foundation Series, and others. With Ken Blanchard, he coauthored the best-selling business book Know Can Do! published by Berrett-Koehler.

He received a BS in Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, MBA from the University of New Haven, and  Doctorate in Human Resource Development from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.  He is the author of the SRO 360, a personality-behavior psychometric to provide individuals feedback on their characteristic preferences. 

He is currently a Senior Consulting Partner with the Ken Blanchard Companies, having joined the firm in 1990.  Previously he presented In Search of Excellence and Thriving on Chaos for the Tom Peters Group.  He was Managing Director of Performance Impact, Inc., and Vice-President of Marketing for the Center for Leadership Studies.  He has worked with Leonard Nadler, Gordon Lippitt, and Marshall Goldsmith. He is Managing Director of SRO, LLC.

A past chapter president of Sales and Marketing Executives, he has been a member of the International Customer Service Association, the National Speakers Association, the International Platform Association, the American Society for Training and Development, and the Evaluation Research Association.
